Yeah, this is my kind of scene right here! The Green Parrot Bar is a laid-back, no-frills dive bar located in the heart of Old Town Key West. They’ve been serving drinks since 1890, and used to be a favorite watering hole for famous author Ernest Hemingway. The bar has a funky, retro vibe and is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. They have live music every night of the week, and their drink menu is extensive.
As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice the quirky decor and the friendly bartenders. The walls are adorned with vintage signs and memorabilia, and the seating is a mix of bar stools and tables. The bar has a great selection of beers, including local craft brews and international favorites.
The live music at the Green Parrot is certainly a highlight, with local musicians playing a mix of blues, rock, and country. The small stage and intimate atmosphere make for a memorable and engaging experience if you’re into live music.

It’s got a great selection of beers, including local craft brews and classic favorites. Their menu of frozen cocktails and fruity drinks is extensive, and quite cliche at a place like this… but totally fitting, and damn good too.
It’s located at the very end of Simonton St on the north side of the island, and is generally tucked away from the main tourist attractions. There’s a small beach area where you can sit and enjoy your drink and food while watching the boats pass by. There’s also live music on most days which draws a nice crowd, but not to the point where it becomes stuffy. This is a perfect place to spend an afternoon with your family where the kids can play in the sand or splash around in the gulf, and then catch the sunset.

Yep, totally! Bring the family and spend the day here. The bar closes after sunset, so you don’t have to worry about any rowdiness here.
The Rum Bar

The Rum Bar in Key West, Florida is another on of those hidden gems that’s perfect for rum lovers and anyone looking for a cozy and intimate spot to enjoy a drink.
